I’m writing to express my concern at the proposed development of the Benfield Valley. As a local resident, I am a firm advocate of local green spaces and our valley is one of our most precious resources.
I would like to outline a few reasons why the Benfield is such a special place to me and why I think it must be preserved and treated as a local nature reserve:

The mental and physical health benefits you have noticed when you use the valley
Our lack of access to local green spaces and why keeping the valley as a ‘full green wedge’ is important to you
